As the first official display partner, Samsung is showcasing the lifestyle TV The Frame at Art Basel, the world’s leading art fair for modern and contemporary art, and hosting panel discussions with the fair’s leading curators.
Visitors can discover The Frame Lounge from June 11 to 16, 2024, in addition to exploring different artworks from 285 galleries from around the world. The Frame Lounge is an exclusive booth from Samsung within Art Basel in Basel under the concept «A New Way of Exploring Art.» Various models of The Frame will be placed both inside and outside the lounge and throughout the exhibition, inviting visitors to experience art in a new way.

The Frame Lounge
Samsung’s exclusive booth includes The Frame Wall with 14 models of The Frame, showcasing its exceptional QLED 4K picture quality with different artworks. Inside of the booth, a highlight zone displays a selection of renowned artworks, while the interactive “Find The Frame Zone” invites visitors to identify The Frame hidden among analog artworks.

Live Panel Discussions
In the “The Frame & Chat” sessions, two live panel discussions will take place in The Frame Lounge, focusing on trends in the art industry, fair highlights, and the significance of the partnership with Samsung’s The Frame, moderated by Daria Brit Greene, curator of the Samsung Art Store. The first talk is with Angelle Siyang-Le, Director of Art Basel Hong Kong (June 11, 5:00 PM), and the second with Irene Kim, Global Head of VIP Relations and a member of the Art Basel Management Board (June 12, 5:00 PM).

In addition to the talks, Samsung will host a session with prominent content creators, including American painter Fritz Proctor (@fritzdoesart_) and Geneva Vanderzeil (@genevavanderzeil), further positioning The Frame in the art world.
The Frame TV by Samsung
Art has always been at the forefront of The Frame’s development. When not used as a TV, it can serve as a digital picture frame displaying artworks or photos. Through the Samsung Art Store, subscribers have access to over 2,500 artworks from renowned artists, museums and industry leaders worldwide, which can be admired clearly and realistically even in brightly lit rooms, thanks to the matte display.

Smart Signage Displays at ArtMeta
In addition to Art Basel, art will also be displayed on Samsung displays at ArtMeta in Basel from June 10 to 16. All artworks from participating galleries will be presented on Smart Signage Displays from the QxC series by the digital art platform Blackdove. These digital canvases are optimized for the art sector and offer optional art frames and remote management via Samsung’s VXT cloud solution.
