The shared passion for art and craftsmanship has united Bucherer and Swiss photographer Hannes Schmid to create an exclusive, limited edition photo book. Discover more about this exciting collaboration at the captivating vernissage.
The Swiss photographer Hannes Schmid was trained as an electrician but found his calling in photography. Over many decades, he has captured iconic photographs individual stars and bands he accompanied, including Queen, AC/DC and ABBA.
Bucherer has created an exclusive photo book in collaboration with Swiss artist Hannes Schmid. “Time of Icons – Icons of Time” is a stylish homage to iconic timepieces and legendary rock musicians, showcasing the convergence of outstanding craftsmanship and cultural icons.
The photo book is now available in a limited edition of 250 copies at selected Bucherer boutiques, as well as dedicated exhibitions at Sotheby’s Zurich (April 26 – May 11, 2024) and in the Sotheby’s Salon at Bucherer (April 29 – May 25, 2024). Both venues will also display selected works by Hannes Schmid, which can be purchased for a good cause. Starting May 16, 2024, the exhibition will also be on display at Bucherer TimeMachine in New York. Proceeds from this collaboration will benefit the Smiling Gecko Foundation, established by Hannes Schmid to support Cambodian communities through sustainable projects in education and housing.
