Heidiland Tourism is receiving international recognition for its creative video campaign “Heidiland – More than you think”. The campaign was awarded gold at the Digital Communication Award 2023 and silver at the Best of Content Marketing Award 2023. These prestigious awards recognize outstanding achievements in the field of (digital) communication and underline Heidiland as a remarkable tourism destination.
Swiss tourism organization Heidiland Tourismus has entered the world stage at the recent Digital Communication Awards (DCA) and the Best of Content Marketing Award (BCM) 2023. The organization was able to celebrate two international awards with its video campaign “Heidiland – More than you think”. At the DCA, Heidiland Tourismus secured the coveted gold medal in the “Brand Campaign” category. The BCM honored the campaign with silver in the “B2C – Tourism/Travel/Transport” category. These remarkable successes confirm Heidiland Tourism as an outstanding player in the digital communications landscape.
The video campaign from Heidiland Tourismus is characterized by its humorous approach, which makes it clear that “Heidiland” is more than just a well-known rest stop but also a multi-faceted holiday and leisure region in the border area of the cantons of St. Gallen and Graubünden. With a lot of creativity and a pinch of tongue in cheek, Heidiland Tourism managed to reach more than a million people in German-speaking Switzerland via social media and digital channels. This success was achieved in close collaboration with the renowned digital marketing agency ROB NICOLAS (Chur/Zurich).
The Digital Communication Award 2023 (DCA) honors outstanding projects and campaigns in online communication. This year, Heidiland Tourism managed to prevail against strong competition from all over Europe and win the gold medal in the “Brand Campaign” category. This underlines the creativity and innovative approach that Heidiland Tourismus follows in its digital communication.
At the same time, the video campaign was awarded silver in the “B2C – Tourism/Travel/Transport” category at the Best of Content Marketing Award (BCM) 2023. This renowned award honors the most outstanding content marketing work in German-speaking countries. In competition with well-known brands such as Deutsche Bahn, Porsche, the 3 Zinnen Dolomites region and Europa-Park, Heidiland Tourismus asserted itself and secured a well-deserved place on the winner’s podium.
Adrian Pfiffner, Head of Content Management at Heidiland Tourismus, expressed his enthusiasm about this double success: «The fact that we, as a small organization, were able to assert ourselves on the international stage with our video campaign is literally ‹big cinema›. We boldly relied on new communication channels and formats early on, and we are proud to be able to reap the fruits of our work today.”
