Swiss Olympic, the National Olympic Committee of Switzerland, along with its partners Ochsner Sport, Switzerland’s leading sports retailer, and On, a Swiss sports brand, has unveiled the Swiss Olympic Team Paris 2024 Collection. This collection serves as the official uniform for the Swiss Olympic and Paralympic Team Delegation and is presented in a unique and innovative design.
Inspired by the Coats of Arms of the 26 Cantons
The Swiss Olympic Team Paris 2024 Collection draws inspiration from the coats of arms of the 26 cantons in Switzerland. The striking gradient, primarily focusing on the red of the Swiss flag, accompanied by an array of additional colors against the backdrop of white clothing, symbolizes the diversity and unity of Switzerland. This design ethos aligns with the collection’s motto, «United4Excellence,» which serves as the driving force behind the mission of Swiss Olympic and Swiss Paralympic for Paris 2024.
A Look For Every Occasion
The collection comprises 24 pieces that can be combined in versatile ways. Swiss athletes will have a look for every occasion, as the collection can be divided into four categories: Olympic Ceremony for the major opening ceremony, Olympic Focus for a comfortable look in the Olympic Village, Olympic Performance for the final on-site training sessions in sweat-absorbing and highly breathable materials and Olympic Club for the medal ceremony on the podium. In addition to a wide selection of clothing and shoes, the collection includes accessories such as gym and travel bags, as well as caps and socks. With the exception of the Olympic Ceremony look, which features the ceremony jacket and trousers, fans can show their support for the Swiss team in style with pieces from the collection, available for purchase.
Sustainability in Focus
The Swiss Olympic Team Paris 2024 Collection prioritizes sustainability through the use of premium materials and advanced processing techniques. Designed and developed at the On Labs in Zurich, and primarily manufactured in Portugal, the collection embodies a commitment to eco-friendly practices. With a predominantly white palette and the use of undyed, water-saving fabrics, the collection minimizes its environmental footprint by conserving water and energy. Furthermore, all materials are organic or recycled wherever possible. Notably, the Ceremony Jacket – which was produced in collaboration with the Zurich-based brand Round Rivers – exemplifies the collection’s dedication to sustainability. Recycled plastic from the Limmat river was transformed into fibers, which were then used to produce the jacket. This innovative approach underscores the collection’s mission to promote environmental responsibility while supporting the Swiss Olympic Team.
